Skin Care: Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Scrub and Garnier Pure Active Anti-Imperfections Cooling Roll-On

August 24, 2013

I believe that to be at your most beautiful, the first thing you must take care of is your skin. Make-up can help you, but only to a certain extent. This is why I’ve always placed skin care first. In my search for the best products for my skin, I’ve come across the Garnier Pure Active line. Coincidentally, I was having acne breakouts that day so I decided to give it a try. I purchased the Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Scrub and Garnier Pure Active Anti-Imperfections Cooling Roll-On.  As I’m writing this, I’ve already been using it for more than a month (which is a decent span of time for product reviews).

Take note that facial scrubs, when used frequently, can leave the skin dry and irritated (especially the sensitive ones). We do not want this because dryness and irritation can cause breakouts too. For this reason, I recommend only every other day of usage (frequency still depends on one’s skin).

Basically, Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Scrub and Garnier Pure Active Anti-Imperfections Cooling Roll-On both promise to help treat acne. I would attest that they lived up to that promise. The facial scrub keeps acne at bay. And after two days of using the roll-on, the size of my ginormous acne was greatly reduced. It’s that fast. Although at first, you may feel a tingling, sort of itchy feeling as it settles on your skin. Don’t worry, it’ll go away after sometime.

Salicylic acid, which is an ingredient of both products, has always been the “wonder drug” for my acne. In my experience, it is super effective in breakout prevention; it dries them instantly.

I do recommend these products. They’re available in drugstores and supermarkets. The facial scrub costs around 200 pesos while the roll-on costs 299 pesos. Very affordable, right?

But like what I’ve said in my previous beauty post, the results vary depending on one’s skin. Anyway, it’s worth giving a shot. Hope you get the same results!
