South Korea 2016: Nami Island and Petite France

Saturday, April 29, 2017

SoKor has always been a dream destination of mine. For several years, it has been included in the "Where to Go Next" list on my planner. Like what my mother always says, "Everything happens in its own time." 2016 easily became one of the best years of my life. But more on that later.

Nami Island

Namiseom Island, or Nami Island, is popular for its tree lined paths. I imagine it would be so much more beautiful during autumn. It was September when we visited—summertime. The leaves on the trees were still green, but they were beautiful nonetheless.

Petite France

Our next stop (and apparently the last) was Petite France, a French-style village complete with restaurants, museums, shops and a memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupéry, the author of the novel Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince). If you are a fan of the "The Little Prince", then you are in for a real treat.

Our last stop was supposed to be Garden of the Morning Calm, but unfortunately, time did not permit this.
